Barings Appoints Sébastian Cavé as Country Head of Germany, Real Estate
Barings, one of the world’s largest diversified real estate investment managers, today announced the appointment of Sébastian Cavé as Managing Director and Country Head, Germany. Sébastian will lead Barings’ real estate equity activities in Germany, overseeing origination, portfolio execution and client engagement.
Based in Frankfurt, he will be responsible for overseeing all transaction activity across the German market as well as overseeing all asset management activities in relation to Barings’ German portfolio. Working closely with regional colleagues, he will contribute to platform strategy and support the development of the broader European real‑estate business.
Sébastian joins Barings from Heitman, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s German real‑estate business, overseeing origination and execution across the full risk spectrum, managing €1.5bn+ in Living‑focused AUM, and heading a multi‑disciplinary team covering investment, asset and portfolio management.
