Steve Camilleri
Senior Director, Real Estate Debt
Steve Camilleri is a member of Barings’ Real Estate Debt team and is responsible for leading the real estate debt business in Australia and New Zealand. He has worked in the finance industry since 1989. Prior to joining the firm in 2024, Steve was National Head of Portfolio Management, Property Finance for Westpac Banking Corporation, where he led a team of 40 in managing loan underwriting and asset management for the Bank’s commercial banking division. Before that, Steve held a variety of senior leadership roles across Westpac’s Property Finance business and worked in a property development and funds management business. Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Western Sydney University.
