Ian Wiese
Managing Director, Portfolio Finance
Ian is a Managing Director at Barings Portfolio Finance where he is responsible for sourcing and structuring transactions. He is also a member of the investment committee. He was previously a Portfolio Manager at MassMutual’s Direct Private Investments team. Prior to joining MassMutual, Ian was the Head of Secondaries at Investec Fund Solutions, a team part of Investec Plc providing innovative liquidity solutions to funds and fund managers. Before that he also spent several years in the banks leverage finance and investment banking teams. Ian graduated with an accounting and law degree from the University of Stellenbosch as well as achieved a B.Com (Hons) Accounting. Ian is a Chartered Accountant and a qualified attorney.
