George Stone

George Stone is a member of Barings’ Private Placements and Asset-Based Finance group, focused on origination, structuring, and underwriting of transactions in the transportation and equipment finance sectors. George has worked in the industry since 1998. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, he worked for Siemens Financial Services as Senior Vice President, responsible for global structured finance transactions in the aviation, rail, and marine sectors. Before that, George was a Managing Director at Babcock & Brown, where he led a team responsible for equity and debt placement opportunities in the transportation sector. George holds a B.A. degree in Political Science/International Affairs from Columbia University and a J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University.
