Rohit Chaku
Head of Consumer & Commercial Asset Finance
Rohit Chaku is the Head of Consumer & Commercial Asset Finance within Barings’ Private Placements and Asset-Based Finance group. Rohit is focused on the origination, structuring, and underwriting of public and private consumer and commercial asset-backed securities and structured debt financings. Rohit has worked in the industry since 2003. Prior to joining Barings in 2023, Rohit spent over 16 years at Barclays Capital in leadership positions across structuring, trading, portfolio management and financing within the securitization and structured finance businesses, with experience encompassing a broad range of public and private assets classes including residential and commercial mortgages, structured credit, consumer, commercial and esoteric ABS. Rohit holds a B.A. from New York University.
