John Bryant (“J.B.”) Gerber

John Bryant (“J.B.”) Gerber is a member of the Barings Real Estate Team, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. He is responsible for the origination of a broad array of real estate loans in the U.S. market. J.B. has worked in the industry since 2005, most recently for Ares Management, where he was responsible for all U.S.-related debt originations and the portfolio management of U.S.-focused real estate debt funds. Prior to Ares, he worked for Barings Real Estate and played a key role in expanding the senior bridge loan and structured debt product business in Europe. J.B. earned a B.A. from Middlebury College, where he double majored in economics and the history of art and architecture.
