Benjamin Mathias, CFA

Benjamin Mathias is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Benjamin is a Real Estate Portfolio Manager and is responsible for the management of commingled real estate debt funds and separate accounts for structured real estate debt investments. In addition, he is responsible for conducting financial analysis at the client, project, and portfolio level, including monitoring and projecting performance of existing investments and developing models to support the development of potential investment products. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Benjamin interned with the Asset Management Group at Hudson Realty Capital and was an Acquisitions Intern at Amcap Incorporated. Additionally, he spent over ten years in financial services, including positions in market risk analysis, interest rate futures trading and institutional equity research sales. Benjamin holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University. He is a member of the CFA Institute.
