Sophia is an Investment Manager in the Seoul-based equity team. She is managing funds for institutional investors with dividend and BM styles in Korea Equity Team at Baring Asset Management Korea. She was responsible for managing Baring’s first target conversion fund launched in 2024, and successfully achieved the target return by employing a concentrated investment strategy focused on companies that are proactive in enhancing shareholder value. She joined Barings in 2015 from NH Securities where she worked for eight years as an IT sector analyst. Prior to that, she also worked for LG Electronics in the overseas marketing division from 2004.
Sophia earned her bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from POSTECH(Pohang University of Science and Technology).
