Peter Cerrato is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Peter is an Originator of Structured Real Estate Investments, responsible for the origination of high yield commercial real estate investments, including mezzanine, transitional first mortgages, B-Notes and preferred equity investments, as well as performing asset management duties for the existing high yield portfolio. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Peter was an Assistant Vice President at Travelers Insurance Company, responsible for originating, underwriting and managing commercial mortgage loans. He also worked for GE Real Estate as a member of the Global Valuation Team, and he began his career at GE as a member of GE Asset Management’s Financial Management Program. Peter holds a B.A. in Economics from Rollins and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Hartford CFA Society.
