Philip Conner

Philip Conner is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Philip is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Real Estate Research & Strategy, responsible for monitoring property and capital market fundamentals, trends and pricing across the 50 largest U.S. markets.  He has worked in the real estate industry since 1990 and in the institutional real estate business since 1997. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Real Estate and Infrastructure Department of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he served as a member of the Real Estate Executive Committee. Previously, Philip spent 12+ years as a member of the investment research team at Prudential Real Estate Investors. Philip holds a B.A. Degree in English from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
