Kawtar Ed-Dahmani
Managing Director, Emerging Markets Sovereign Debt
Kawtar Ed-Dahmani is a member of Barings’ Emerging Markets Debt Group and a sovereign analyst for the Emerging Markets Sovereign Debt Team. Kawtar has worked in the industry since 2009. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Kawtar completed a Master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where she specialized in International Development. Prior to Harvard, she worked in Lazard’s Government Advisory Group advising governments, central banks and government-owned companies on sovereign debt restructurings, sovereign financing and banking sector reforms. Her country coverage included Ecuador, Kazakhstan, and several European and West African countries. She also holds a Master’s degree from HEC Paris and Ecole Polytechnique in France. Kawtar grew up in Morocco and then moved to France. She speaks Arabic, French and Spanish.
