Alastair Wright is Head of APAC and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In this role, he sets the firm’s strategic direction in the region and strengthens connections across Barings’ global footprint to deliver enterprise initiatives locally. He is also the firm’s Head of APAC Real Estate.

Alastair joined Barings in 2022 from Altis Property Partners, which Barings acquired that year. Alastair was one of the founders of Altis and has more than 30 years of experience in investment management, property, accounting and finance, cash management, fund reporting, risk management and compliance.

Prior to establishing Altis in 2008, Alastair was the fund manager for the ICA Property Development Funds series at ICA Property Group and Valad. Before that, he held a variety of positions at Macquarie Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers, including roles in funds management, risk, compliance and audit.

Alastair holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto in Canada.
