Client Portfolio Manager, Public Fixed Income
Satya Chakravarty is a Senior Client Portfolio Manager on Barings’ Public Fixed Income Investment platform, with primary focus on Investment Grade and Emerging Market Debt. He is responsible for product development, driving strategic initiatives, and external communication of the team’s investment strategies. Prior to joining the firm in 2023, Satya was the lead Investment Strategist for BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Absolute Return Fixed Income business. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at BlackRock, most recently as a Securitized Credit Portfolio Manager within the firm’s Global Fixed Income group. He spent most his tenure at BlackRock as a Portfolio Manager within the Financial Markets Advisory Group, the firm’s distressed and special situations investing and advisory practice. He started his investment career in 2006. Satya holds an MBA from the London Business School, a master's degree in economics from Ohio University, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mumbai.
