Patrick Hoefling is Barings’ Chief Financial Officer and leads the firm’s global finance and operations teams. He oversees all aspects of corporate finance and operations, including corporate treasury, financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting and tax, fund accounting, client reporting, procurement and middle- and back-office operations. Patrick is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Previously, Patrick was a director in the Client Portfolio Services group, where he supported product structuring, fund accounting, client service and operational support for the firm’s high yield and investment grade businesses. He also served as the operational liaison to MassMutual, supporting its full investment portfolio. Patrick later moved into Corporate Finance as Corporate Treasurer and Global Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, overseeing daily operational, cash and accounting needs across the firm. He also served as a director of the firm’s European subsidiaries and was CFO of its U.S. registered public funds, including 40 Act mutual funds and its high yield closed-end fund.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, he worked for the Private Client Advisory Tax Group at Deloitte (then known as Deloitte & Touche) and at a Charlotte-based hedge fund. 
  
 Patrick holds a B.S. in accountancy from Villanova University and a Master of Accountancy from North Carolina State University.
