Martin Horne

Martin Horne is Co-Head of Global Investments and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, with oversight of Barings’ global investment platform spanning credit, real assets, capital solutions and emerging markets.
He serves as Head of Barings EMEA, Chair of the European Management Team, a director of all Barings U.K. boards and has regulatory oversight for all European audit, compliance and risk functions. He is also an executive sponsor of the Barings Black Network employee resource group.
Previously, he served as Barings’ Global Head of Public Assets, which included the global high yield, investment grade, structured credit, equities, emerging markets corporate debt and global sovereign investment teams. He has also served as a senior portfolio manager and head of the Global High Yield Group.
Martin has worked in the industry since 1993. His experience spans mid- to large-cap, structured credit, investment grade and leveraged finance markets.
He previously served on the board of directors of the Loan Market Association and holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Reading.
