Stafford Butt

Stafford is a member of Barings’ Global Private Structured Finance Group, responsible for the expansion of business into the international markets, principally Europe and APAC. Stafford has worked in the finance industry since 1986. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, he was a Managing Director in Wells Fargo’s asset-backed securitisation team focusing on the private and public securitisation markets.  Prior to that, he worked for a number of financial institutions in their asset-backed businesses based in London and Hong Kong. He is an experienced originator and structurer of asset-backed transactions, across a diverse range of asset classes and jurisdictions including both developed and developing Europe, Middle East, Australia, Asia and Japan.
