Eric Lloyd is President of Barings and Chairman of its Global Private Finance Group. He is also Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Barings BDC, Inc. (NYSE: BBDC) and chairs both Barings Capital Investment Corporation and Barings Private Credit Corporation. In addition, Eric serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Martello Re. In his role, Eric works closely with investment teams and leads a diverse set of organizations, driving corporate strategy, strategic initiatives, partnerships and counterparty relationships. Prior to his current role, Eric served as Head of Private Assets. He is an Executive Sponsor of the Out & Allies employee resource group.

Eric has worked in the industry since 1990. Prior to joining Barings in 2013, he served as Head of Market and Institutional Risk for Wells Fargo, where he was a member of the Management Committee and the Board of Directors of Wells Fargo Securities. Before the acquisition of Wachovia, Eric worked in Wachovia’s Global Markets Investment Banking division and served on the division’s Operating Committee, where he held various leadership positions, including Head of Wachovia’s Leveraged Finance Group.

Eric holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Virginia.
