Alastair Wright serves as the Head of APAC for Barings. In this role, Alastair sets the firm’s strategic direction in the region and strengthens connectivity across Barings’ global footprint to deliver enterprise initiatives locally. He also serves as the firm’s Head of APAC Real Estate.

Alastair joined Barings in 2022 from Altis Property Partners (Altis), which was acquired by Barings in 2022. Alastair was one of the founders of Altis and has over 26 years of experience in investment management, property, accounting and finance, cash management, fund reporting, risk management and compliance.

Prior to establishing Altis in 2008, Alastair was the fund manager for the ICA Property Development Funds series at ICA Property Group and Valad. Prior to this, he held a variety of positions at Macquarie Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers, including funds management, risk, compliance and audit.

Alastair holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto in Canada and is a chartered accountant.
