Ian Mayhew
Head of European Real Estate Asset Management
Ian Mayhew is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Ian is a Managing Director and head of Head of Real Estate Equity Asset Management – Europe. Ian has worked in the industry since 1996 and has considerable background in the repositioning of assets through refurbishment and redevelopment and is particularly experienced in the marketing and promotion of assets during leasing campaigns. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Ian was a senior asset manager at Derwent London plc, a FTSE 250 listed U.K. property company and real estate investment trust. Prior to that, he worked in the general practice and asset management divisions of global property advisers DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield) and CBRE. Ian is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in geography, and an M.A. degree from CASS Business School in property valuation and law.
