Elena Walsh

Elena Walsh is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Elena is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for a value-add fund and separate account. She also serves on the Barings Real Estate U.S. Private Equity Investment Committee. Prior to this role, Elena was an acquisitions officer for over 20 years covering the Midwest and Southeast regions of the country focusing on all asset types. Prior to joining the firm in 1994, she worked for The Travelers Insurance Company for six years in the dispositions and commercial lending areas. She began her career with Laventhol & Horwath, a public accounting firm, as a real estate consultant for two years. Elena holds a B.S. with a double major in Finance and Real Estate from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University in Chicago.
