United Kingdom - Bonds purportedly issued by Aldi and TransferWise
We have been contacted by investors informing us that they have received communications by e-mail and telephone from a person holding himself out to work for Barings and offering opportunities to invest in bonds guaranteed by Barings. These are not bonds distributed or guaranteed by Barings and have no connection whatsoever to Barings.
Moreover, investors should note that email addresses ending @baringuk.com are not affiliated with Barings and that the websites <baringuk.com>, <baringuk.org> and <try.aldi-investment.com> are also not associated with Barings.
PLEASE NOTE:
- If you have been contacted to invest in the above products, do not send any identity documents or transfer any monies.
- If you have already sent or transferred funds, please contact your bank that arranged the transaction(s) to request the funds to be frozen or returned.
