Maureen Joyce

Maureen Joyce is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Maureen is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Real Estate Equity, responsible for building and growing the U.S. equity real estate business across all assets, sectors and portfolios. In addition, she serves on the Barings Real Estate U.S. Equity Investment Committee. She has 35 years’ experience in the industry, investing and managing assets and portfolios through multiple economic cycles. Prior to this role, Maureen served as Head of U.S. Real Estate Asset Management, responsible for the investment performance and strategic direction of real estate equity and debt assets across all U.S. mandates. Before joining the firm in 2021, She served as the Head of Asset Management & Separate Accounts at AEW, where she was responsible for the Asset Management Team, the Financial Reporting and Accounting Team as well as the Separate Account business within their real estate equity platform. She also served on the Investment and Risk Management Committees and led AEW’s ESG+R efforts as Co-Chair of the ESG+R Steering Committee. Prior to AEW, Maureen worked at CBRE Investors, Spaulding & Slye, and Copley Real Estate Advisors. Maureen holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from Boston College Carroll School of Management. She is active in a variety of professional associations, including Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Technology Council; Women’s Leadership Advisory (WLI); Board Member of National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (MA); and National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM).
