Jim Moore

Jim Moore is Head of Private Placements and Asset Based Finance, responsible for the firm’s corporate private placement business and public and private commercial, consumer and residential asset-based finance strategies. Prior to this role, Jim was Head of Barings Private Debt Group, responsible for the firm’s corporate private placement, private residential whole loan and private consumer and commercial asset-based finance strategies. Jim has over 28 years of private debt experience spanning both the buy and sell side of business. Prior to joining Barings, Jim spent 19 years on the sell-side of the private debt business at RBS Securities and JP Morgan, originating and placing over $50 billion of transactions for issuers globally. Jim has a B.S. in business administration from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Temple University. Jim is also a board member of Eclipse Business Capital, one of the country’s leading independent asset-based lending platforms for middle-market borrowers, and an Advisor to CredCore, an AI-focused enterprise debt management solutions provider.
