Barings Supports Adamantem Capital’s Investment in Nexon

Barings, one of the world’s leading investment managers, today announced its role as a lead arranger of over A$200.0m of senior secured credit facilities provided in support of Adamantem Capital’s (“Adamantem”) acquisition of Nexon Asia Pacific (“Nexon” or the “Company”). This marks Barings’ third partnership with Adamantem, reflecting our continued support and strong relationship.

Headquartered in Sydney, Nexon is one of Australia’s leading IT managed service providers, delivering end-to-end integrated IT solutions to 1,000+ enterprise and mid-market customers. Nexon offers a comprehensive suite of products including network management, communications, digital solutions, cloud and cybersecurity through partnerships with leading software vendors.

The decision to support this transaction reflects Barings’ conviction in the critical role managed IT services plays in supporting the continued outsourcing trend, fuelled by increasingly complex IT environments and heightened cybersecurity risks. Nexon operates in a sector characterised by resilient demand, recurring revenue models, and strong credit fundamentals.

“Barings is pleased to deepen our long-standing partnership with Adamantem, which has been established over many years and multiple financings” said Justin Hooley, Head of Asia Pacific Private Credit at Barings. “The sector is well known to Barings given our proven track record of comparable investments in APAC, Europe and the U.S and we were able to leverage this global insight and institutional knowledge to better support Adamantem. We look forward to supporting Nexon as it embarks on its next chapter of growth.”

This transaction builds upon Barings’ 15-year track record of providing private finance solutions to borrowers in the Asia Pacific region through its Hong Kong and Sydney teams. These teams are integral to Barings Global Private Finance platform, which leverages a deep bench of more than 80 investment professionals and a 30-year track record of providing financing solutions to sponsors while aiming to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors.
