John Park, CFA

John is the Chief Investment Officer,Korea. Based in Seoul, John heads up the domestic equity and fixed income businesses as well as quantitative investment analysis. John rejoined Barings (what was then known as SEI Asset Korea) in 2004 as the head of the investment strategy team and was subsequently promoted to Chief Investment Officer in July 2008. Prior to rejoining Barings, John spent one and a half years with Deutsche Asset Management Korea. He joined Barings in 2000 from SEI Investments where he was an investment analyst in the asset allocation team in Oaks, USA. Prior to SEI Investments, John worked as a research manager in the international business division for Korea Investment Trust Co., Ltd, Korea (KITC). At KITC, he was responsible for researching global financial markets and was a co-fund manager of the Eastern Tiger Fund, which primarily invested in treasuries, futures and options in the USA. John holds a BA in Economics from Sogang University, Korea, an MBA from Krannert graduate school of management and an MS in statistics with specialization in computational finance from Purdue University in West Lafayette, USA. John is a CFA charterholder.
