Barings Coronavirus Statement

As the coronavirus continues to develop internationally, Barings has taken proactive steps to address the potential impacts on our people, clients, communities and everyone we come in contact with, directly or through our premises. This includes suspending all international business and domestic travel.

Further, having performed stress-testing on our systems and processes, Barings is now operating a 100% remote working model across the U.S, Europe and Australia. Note that we had shifted to remote working and flexible working arrangements in Asia since the end of January while maintaining service levels to partners and clients. Barings’ Cyber Security policies are applied consistently when working remotely or in the office.

We have convened a coronavirus Crisis Management Team consisting of our Executive Leadership Team and other leaders across Barings to ensure we can anticipate and prepare for all contingencies. We continue to evaluate the situation based on World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updates and will take further measures as warranted.

We have been in continuous communication with our employees and have been maintaining client communications throughout. We will continue to monitor the coronavirus situation closely. Protecting our employees and our communities is our priority.
