Pieter Welman

Pieter Welman is a member of Barings’ Global Infrastructure Debt Group. Pieter is responsible for the identification and execution of debt transactions within Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”). Pieter has worked in the industry since 2006. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Pieter worked in the Infrastructure EMEA team in Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank with responsibility for originating, structuring and executing non-recourse financings. Prior to joining Credit Agricole, Pieter worked at Barclays in financial control and planning. Pieter is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England and Wales and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Pieter holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
