In North America, investments include both equity and debt comprising the five major property types –multifamily, retail, industrial and hotel—as well as debt and equity investments on other specialized properties (e.g., affordable housing, senior housing, self storage, healthcare, student housing, parking, medical office buildings). In Europe, our investments include both equity and debt with primary emphasis on office, retail and industrial properties.
Barings Multifamily Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Barings, originates, sells and services multifamily loans, senior housing loans and loans for healthcare facilities under programs offered by government and government-sponsored enterprises.
