Manager comments

This commentary relates to the month of October 2017- to be read in conjunction with the factsheet.

The Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) All Share index produced a total return of nearly 2% in October, a return that was almost exactly matched by the Baring UK Growth Trust. The speciality chemicals group Croda International made the largest positive contribution, following the release of a strong trading statement. The online used car portal Auto Trader was the largest negative contributor, as worries continue about the health of vehicle sales in the UK.

No significant changes were made in October.

The Baring UK Growth Trust will close in November.
