
Nicholas Schupbach, CFA
Head of Natural Resources, Private Equity/Real Assets

Nick Schupbach is a member of Barings’ Private Equity/Real Assets team and leads the team’s investment strategy in water rights, farmland, and timber. Nick joined the firm in 2006 and has worked in the industry since 2004, bringing over 18 years of experience. At the firm, Nick has led or been deeply involved in all of the team’s investments in natural resources and is the author of numerous investment white papers, including a recent paper on water rights investing. Nick currently sits on several boards including Remington L&W Holdings, Tamiami Citrus, and Teaktree Acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm, Nick was an analyst and trader at Rayner & Stonington. Nick holds a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Global Financial Analysis from Bentley University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a recipient of the Chancellor's Scholarship. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
