Matteo Cominetta

Matteo Cominetta is the Head of Macroeconomic Research of the Barings Investment Institute, responsible for managing and implementing the economic research agenda, both quantitative and thematic. Matteo joined the firm from the European Central Bank in 2020, where he was Senior Economist in the Financial Stability department. Previously, he has held economist positions at UBS, HSBC, the European Stability Mechanism and the European Commission. Matteo holds a B.A. in Economics from Bocconi University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Sussex University.
