Michael Marron, CPA
Michael Marron is a member of Barings Alternative Investments, a global real estate, private equity and real assets platform. Michael is responsible for covering the office, retail and net lease sectors as well as contributing to allocation and portfolio construction for the U.S. REIT strategy. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Michael worked for seven years as a Senior Research Analyst at European Investors LLC, where his principal coverage included office, industrial, data centers, cell towers, and apartment sectors. Prior to European, he was a sell-side research analyst for Bear Stearns and Prudential. Preceding that, he was employed as a Vice President at Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for the asset management and restructuring of a diversified real estate portfolio. He began his career in public and private real estate investments in 1985. Michael holds a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY-Albany and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He holds a Certified Public Accountant designation and has served as an adjunct professor at City University of New York, Bernard M. Baruch College.
