Head of Greater China Investments, Global Markets
Khiem Do serves as Barings’ Head of Greater China Investments - Global Markets, responsible for providing investment leadership in the region and working with local investment teams and global functional investment heads to help grow the firm’s business in the Asia-Pacific region. Before his current position, Khiem was Head of the Asian Multi-Asset Team from 2006 to 2018 and Head of the Asia Pacific Specialist Investment Team from 1997 until 2006. Khiem was appointed a member of the Strategic Policy Group (SPG), the company’s global macro research and asset allocation team, in 2006. He is also a member of the SPG Economic Research, Equity Research and Asset Class Research sub groups. He has worked in the industry since 1977. Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Khiem worked at Citicorp Global Asset Management in Sydney, where he was the Australian Chief Investment Officer, the chair of the Australian Asset Allocation Committee and a member of the CGAM International Asset Allocation Committee. Prior to that, he was at Bankers Trust Australia and Equitilink Australia Ltd. Khiem holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Macquarie University (Australia) and was designated an Associate Member of the Securities Institute of Australia (the Australian CFA equivalent) in 1979.
