The objective of the Fund is to generate a total return consisting of capital and income appreciation which exceeds European cash rates over the medium to long term.
The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objective by investing directly or indirectly, in any sector, country or region and in a range of asset classes, such as, company shares, bonds (which are loans that pay a rate of interest for a set period of time), currencies, money market instruments and/or cash. The Fund may also invest indirectly in commodities (such as gold), property, private equity and hedge funds and in emerging markets such as, China and Russia which are countries whose economies are still developing. The asset allocation may change from time to time. The Fund is not required to have exposure to any specific asset class, sector, country or region.
Who Should Invest
The Fund is designed for investors seeking a strategy that targets income and capital appreciation over the medium to long term.
The value of investments can fall as well as rise and investors may not get back the amount originally invested. Emerging markets or less developed countries may face more political, economic or structural challenges than developed countries. Debt securities are subject to risks that the issuer will not meet its payment obligations. Changes in exchange rates between the currency of the Fund and the currencies in which the assets of the Fund are valued may also affect the value of the Fund. The Fund may also use derivatives for investment purposes. These are complex instruments that carry the risk of causing increased volatility in the value of the Fund.
