Hyun Choi

Hyun is Head of Korean Equities in Seoul-based equity investment team and he is also the lead manager of Baring Korea High Dividend Equity Fund and Baring Korea High Dividend Balanced 60 Fund. He also manages a number of dedicated Korea equity portfolios. He joined Barings in 2013 from Prudential Asset Management (now Hanwha Asset Management) where he worked as Head of Equity Investment Team. Prior to that, he was the Korean equity investment manager at Hangaram Investment Advisory. Hyun’s investment experience began in 1995 at Hungkuk Fire & Marine Insurance where he worked as a research analyst.  Hyun earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Seoul National University.
