Thomas Juterbock
Co-Head of Investment Team, Private Equity/Real Assets
Tom Juterbock is a member of Barings’ Private Equity/Real Assets Investment Committee and Co-Head of the investment team. Tom joined the firm in 2009 and has worked in the industry since 1979, bringing over 43 years of experience. At the firm, Tom has led the growth of the team’s investment capabilities in specialty infrastructure and has served on the Investment Committee for over 13 years. He also serves on the Valuation Committee. Tom currently sits on several boards including Genesis Aircraft Services and Milestone. Prior to joining the firm, Tom was the Chief Investment Officer at Nikko Asset Management Americas, Inc. and the head of global relative value trading at Ritchie Capital Management. Prior to Ritchie Capital, Tom spent 20 years in fixed income at Morgan Stanley, where he managed numerous trading businesses including head of U.S. government bond trading, head of global government bond trading, head of U.S. interest rate trading, and finally, head of global macro proprietary trading. He was also a member of the U.S. Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee, where he advised the Treasury Department on a broad range of economic issues. Tom holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkley.
